We are excited you have joined us as a team captain for Shout’s Turn the Tide Ride. Thank you for taking the first steps towards making this year’s bike ride a great success. The information on this page will provide you with the tools needed to make your team’s experience fun, successful and rewarding.
Responsibilities
As a Team Captain you are a powerful force in the fight to save this generation. A Team Captain’s job is to encourage others to join his or her team and to promote Shout’s Turn the Tide Ride. You can include co-workers, friends and family members, basically anyone who wants to share in this incredible event and help raise money for the Shout ministry.
Check List
Recruit - At least 10 people to join your team
Make a list of 20 people and invite them to join your team
Encourage each team member to invite a friend to join
Set a date and place for a team kick-off meeting
Motivate - Connect your team with the Shout event
Pass out “team member” packets at the kick-off
Forward Shout emails to your team each week
Place Shout posters at your office and give to your team
Fundraise - Our Goal this year is $250/person or $2,500/team
Pass out “Turn the Tide” letters and e-mails to your team
Check with your employer about a matching gift program
Follow-up on letters and e-mails
Organize - Get ready for the ride
Secure a tent for your team and set up before the ride
Let everyone know where to meet before/after the ride
Invite all your friends, co-workers and family to the ride
Celebrate - Encourage your team to have fun reaching their goal
