Riding to save a generation

We are excited you will be joining a team and will be partnering with us for Shout’s Turn the Tide Ride this year. If you don't have a team, we'll assign you to one. Shortly after we receive your registration, you will be contacted by your team captain. As a team member you'll be having lots of fun riding with your team on the square and working together to raise money for a worthy couse. Your effort and support can help to make a major impact on this generation of teenagers.

As you already know, our community's youth are facing serious problems: drugs, alcohol, pregnancy and depression are just a few. The problems seem to get worse every year and we are loosing our teenagers at an alarming rate. We need to turn the situation around by working together to save this generation. That’s where Shout PMI (The Shout Prayer Mentor Initiative) comes in; they are a group of men and women who are willing to stand in the gap for our teenagers with prayer and mentoring. They are committed to serving and staying with our teenagers from middle school through college graduation or marriage.

The Shout mentors are working in the lives of hundreds of students right here in Columbia but we need more of them. This ride will help us raise the funds to recruit and train more mentors and reach more teenagers right here in Maury Co. You are a powerful force in the fight to save this generation and your ride could very well mean the difference between addiction or abstinence, pregnancy or graduation, even life or death for one of our teenagers.

Your mission is to get the word out, encourage others to join your team and help raise money for the Shout Prayer Mentor Initiative. We are providing you with some tools and a great team captain to help you accomplish your goal of raising $250 for this event. Check out the Turn the Tide "Sponsor Letter,"  "Fund Raising 101" and "Tips" on the next few pages and get with your team captain if you need some help (don’t be afraid to ask).
