Recruiting Letter
Hello,
I am working with a group of people here in Columbia who are making a difference in the lives of teenagers. They are putting together an event this summer called Shout’s Turn the Tide Ride. They have asked me to be a team captain and I am asking you to join my team.
Our teenagers are facing some serious problems; drugs, alcohol, pregnancy and depression are just a few. The problems seem to get worse every year and we are loosing our teenagers at an alarming rate. We need to turn the situation around by working together to save this generation. That’s where The Shout Prayer Mentor Initiative (Shout PMI) comes in. They are a group of men and women who are willing to stand in the gap for our teenagers with prayer and mentoring. They are committed to serving and staying with our teenagers from middle school through college graduation or marriage.
This is going to be a great event and I know we are going to have a blast doing it together. Basically we will be riding bikes on Saturday, June 7th around Columbia’s town square along with other teams to draw attention to the problems our teenagers are facing. We will also be raising money for Shout by asking people to help us reach our goal of $250 for every rider this year. I will be helping you raise the money so don’t worry, if you have never done this before, it’s simple and we can get it done.
I am building my team right now so let me know when you are ready to join us. This is going to be an incredible event and I can’t wait to get started. I’ll be checking back with you later this week so look for my call.
